Tara L. Nielsen represents and advises clients in a variety of areas, including worker's compensation, unemployment compensation, Equal Employment complaints and other employment-related issues. She also assists in other general practice areas.
Tara is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2011 with a concentration in Employment and Labor Law. Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, with a double major in Spanish and History and a minor in Communications from Ripon College in 2003.
Prior to her legal career, Tara was a Human Resource Manager for a manufacturing facility employing up to 400 employees. She managed company policies, employee benefits, safety, worker's compensation, unemployment benefits and all other employee relations. She conducted bilingual investigations and worked with OSHA officials.
Tara is admitted to practice in Wisconsin. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, the Dane County Bar Association, Inns of Court, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, the Society for Human Resource Management, Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys and the National Association of Professional Women.
Tara is a life-long Wisconsinite, who enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband and two boxers. She has also recently taken up wakeboarding during the summer months and loves being on the water. During the cold months, she enjoys downhill skiing and reading.
